The Heavy Stuff

About 35 years ago I encountered the book `The Crack In The Cosmic Egg’ - an intellectual book that sought to explain reality by looking at `the cracks’. The idea was that in the few locations where `reality cracked’, we could find the true deepest esoteric ideas about the world we live within.The author often used the `miracles’ of Castanada’s `Don Juan’ (a Mexican Indian Sorcerer), the `miracles’ of Jesus in the bible, and `miracles’ such as walking across hot coals - as the `cracks’ to be examined.

Now, I will not ruin a great read - but - in a nut shell - `The Crack In The Cosmic Egg’ author - chose the concept of belief - as the `ultimate answer‘ - to `what makes our reality’. It was to be this `belief’ that allowed Castaneda to observe Don Juan’s other world - which was as REAL as ours. It was this `belief’ that allowed Jesus to walk on water and to manipulate the visual reality. Just as it was the `belief’ of the firewalkers - that allowed them to cross and not even have their robes or clothes affected.

Now, the concept that `other realities’ exist - is a powerful one. Religions, which still have a grip on the minds of many in humanity, are based on the concept. Scientists, have told us that `dimensional realities’ may exist. Shaman have sworn to it that special consensus realities exist; as have LSD users.

But, what examples exist of such realities that DON’T involve the religious visions, science findings and speculations, or occultish or drugged `states of mind’? Has `reality’ given us all clues to `the cosmic crack’? What kind of `clues’ exist that seem to show REAL Anomalous Realities (RAR)?

Well, I can think of several that I often like to `throw out there’ - as being - A Seam Of The Cosmic Bubble Of Real. And, to me, that `seam of real’ has at least several variations I’d like my readership to consider.

The first is the appearance of Doppelgangers into our reality(the most extreme case being that of Eastern Flight 401’s Pilot and Co-Pilot - which I have blogged about here http://theheavystuff.com/?p=17). For those that are new to the Doppelganger term - I’m using it to represent those cases where a `Dead’ Person - is seen in `Living Form’ in our reality.

Historical cases have included `immigrants’ who died while crossing the ocean - being seen in the flesh in the streets of where they lived in Europe (often at the time of death - but, afterwards too) - in addition to occasional `Civil War’ Doppelgangers that get reported from time to time. Certainly, these examples point to a reality that has anomalous cracks and which should be a subject of study.

The same can be said of what I call `shared subjective reals’.

One example is indeed, the shared realities that Castaneda is said to have `shared’ with Don Juan - Non-Ordinary Realities. Indeed, in the back of the first Castaneda book about Don Juan there is a section called `A Structural Analysis’ - which, Carlos uses to describe the attributes that formed that non-ordinary reality that he observed and experienced as a participant firsthand.

Indeed, this `ability’ to `go to a new landscape’ — to a new reality — also exists in nearly the exact state described by Charles Tart in his book `Altered State’ in a section called Mutual Hypnosis. Via a particular method of hypnosis - two or even more participants could enter into a `new mutually shared reality’. Certainly, these experiences must be surfing along one of the Cosmic Cracks too - don’t you think?

Now, obviously, the Doppelganger `crack’ seems to occur as an anomaly in our `outer mutual common consensus’ reality. Whereas, the Mutual Hypnosis `crack’ seems to occur as an anomaly of real within an `inner special consensus’ reality. But, both break thru - to provide a real experience - for the observer.

And, both are representative of of real anomalous realities that challenge the Cosmic Crack

Hello, and welcome to The Heavy Stuff (THS) - thanks for visiting today, I appreciate you hitting the link or your bookmark of my site. And, as you can see from today’s article title - I will be bringing forth a few of the `wow’ signals that have emerged as man has turned his fine tuned instruments to the universe and home to research the unknown.

Now, of course, my picture above suggests that one of the Wow Signals I am referring to is the famous one of August 15th, 1977 by The Big Ear radio telescope of Ohio State University - which lasted exactly 72 seconds (as it should have if it was extraterrestrial) and had the exact shape expected of a non-terrestrial signal.

But, as the title suggests - this post is about two `signals’ - again recorded by human seeking instruments - that may also qualify for a wow that you may not have heard about before this posting today. (Then again, my readers are so ahead of the game who knows.) And, the first signal was from our own solar system - Saturn to be exact.

Indeed, this link, just last month made me aware - Are Saturn Signals an Alien Communication? - http://ufos.about.com/b/2010/04/19/are-saturn-signals-an-alien-communication.htm of this YouTube video - Alien Speech? Found in NASA’s Saturn Radio Signal - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGeWBiLVn8g&feature=related . This `wow’ signal was captured by the Cassini craft as it flew past Saturn’s rings in July 2004 - and was recorded with radio and plasma wave detectors on the craft. These signals have been manipulated by the University of Iowa to bring them within human hearing range - and when they did - the man doing it was `completely astonished’ at hearing musical notes and (with imagination) humanlike sounds.

And, according to the YouTube video - NASA’s reaction to the file was “a most intriguing file, we do not know what to make of it.” ——- Now, anything on the internet, or YouTube, is subject to the big — yeah, sure, — response (appropriately) as video’s of `real aliens’ talking to planet Earth are also on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD9DXf3UnD4&feature=related - <– this one being almost laughable.

And, while the Saturn `signal’ brings us closer to home (Earth) - the next `unknown’ signal - was from our own planet’s most mysterious location - our ocean depths and what ultimately `may be down there’. This signal was detected by the U.S. Navy `spy’ sensors (looking for soviet subs) and - “While it bears the varying frequency hallmark of marine animals, it is far more powerful than the calls made by any creature known on Earth,” - http://edition.cnn.com/2002/TECH/science/06/13/bloop/index.html .

The signal “The frequency of the sound meant it had to be much louder than any recognised animal noise, including that produced by the largest whales.” - could be one of the legendary sea monsters (giant squid or octopus) that have been reported on the high seas by fisherman and sailors from by-gone eras.

So, who knows, - but both are certainly - The Heavy Stuff.
