The Heavy Stuff

About 35 years ago I encountered the book `The Crack In The Cosmic Egg’ - an intellectual book that sought to explain reality by looking at `the cracks’. The idea was that in the few locations where `reality cracked’, we could find the true deepest esoteric ideas about the world we live within.The author often used the `miracles’ of Castanada’s `Don Juan’ (a Mexican Indian Sorcerer), the `miracles’ of Jesus in the bible, and `miracles’ such as walking across hot coals - as the `cracks’ to be examined.

Now, I will not ruin a great read - but - in a nut shell - `The Crack In The Cosmic Egg’ author - chose the concept of belief - as the `ultimate answer‘ - to `what makes our reality’. It was to be this `belief’ that allowed Castaneda to observe Don Juan’s other world - which was as REAL as ours. It was this `belief’ that allowed Jesus to walk on water and to manipulate the visual reality. Just as it was the `belief’ of the firewalkers - that allowed them to cross and not even have their robes or clothes affected.

Now, the concept that `other realities’ exist - is a powerful one. Religions, which still have a grip on the minds of many in humanity, are based on the concept. Scientists, have told us that `dimensional realities’ may exist. Shaman have sworn to it that special consensus realities exist; as have LSD users.

But, what examples exist of such realities that DON’T involve the religious visions, science findings and speculations, or occultish or drugged `states of mind’? Has `reality’ given us all clues to `the cosmic crack’? What kind of `clues’ exist that seem to show REAL Anomalous Realities (RAR)?

Well, I can think of several that I often like to `throw out there’ - as being - A Seam Of The Cosmic Bubble Of Real. And, to me, that `seam of real’ has at least several variations I’d like my readership to consider.

The first is the appearance of Doppelgangers into our reality(the most extreme case being that of Eastern Flight 401’s Pilot and Co-Pilot - which I have blogged about here http://theheavystuff.com/?p=17). For those that are new to the Doppelganger term - I’m using it to represent those cases where a `Dead’ Person - is seen in `Living Form’ in our reality.

Historical cases have included `immigrants’ who died while crossing the ocean - being seen in the flesh in the streets of where they lived in Europe (often at the time of death - but, afterwards too) - in addition to occasional `Civil War’ Doppelgangers that get reported from time to time. Certainly, these examples point to a reality that has anomalous cracks and which should be a subject of study.

The same can be said of what I call `shared subjective reals’.

One example is indeed, the shared realities that Castaneda is said to have `shared’ with Don Juan - Non-Ordinary Realities. Indeed, in the back of the first Castaneda book about Don Juan there is a section called `A Structural Analysis’ - which, Carlos uses to describe the attributes that formed that non-ordinary reality that he observed and experienced as a participant firsthand.

Indeed, this `ability’ to `go to a new landscape’ — to a new reality — also exists in nearly the exact state described by Charles Tart in his book `Altered State’ in a section called Mutual Hypnosis. Via a particular method of hypnosis - two or even more participants could enter into a `new mutually shared reality’. Certainly, these experiences must be surfing along one of the Cosmic Cracks too - don’t you think?

Now, obviously, the Doppelganger `crack’ seems to occur as an anomaly in our `outer mutual common consensus’ reality. Whereas, the Mutual Hypnosis `crack’ seems to occur as an anomaly of real within an `inner special consensus’ reality. But, both break thru - to provide a real experience - for the observer.

And, both are representative of of real anomalous realities that challenge the Cosmic Crack

Hello, and welcome to The Heavy Stuff - I appreciate you visiting today. And, as you can see, today’s subject is once again - Carlos Castaneda related. The reason for this is because I recently finished  a book which claims to be based on secret knowledge shared by Don Juan - into the dreams of a man now called Lujan Matus - and shared with the world via his book in 2005 called `The Art Of Stalking Parallel Perception’ (subtitle - The Living Tapestry Of Lujan Matus).

Now, if you are in your 50’s or older - you may have some ideas about Carlos Castaneda the writer - and what became his guru status to a few - as his written worldview was challenged - by those who no longer believed he had real contact with an Indian Sorcorer called Don Juan(Juan Matus) as he says in his books - and that Don Juan’s `knowledge’ was all (nothing but) well thought out fiction by Castaneda.

But, the Carlos Castaneda - and, perhaps even the Don Juan aspect of his legacy - `still has legs’ as a `story’ and perhaps even more - including some mysterious things too- especially surrounding his personal life and death. Things even the 50-60 year olds who have read one of his books might not be aware of - and a fun high strangeness story to all of THS readers not familiar with these details.

As I said in a prior post - I believe all the Castaneda books to be fiction that involve Don Juan - EXCEPT perhaps - his first book -The Teachings of Don Juan. And, frankly, you will see in this post that it really doesn’t matter if Don Juan was real or a product of a grouping of Castaneda ideas. Because, to many, the gobbledygook - did make sense - and did present an image of a separate reality that could be / might be accessed; especially if in an altered hallucinating state.

However, quickly after the first two books - almost in anticipation of the coming drug wars and crack down on the hippies - the `drug’ connection of the book series - as a way to higher consciousness -quickly went into the background - nearly exiting the stories.

Instead, a methodology of `stalking awareness’  became the Castaneda/Don Juan focus/knowledge. This awareness stalking included specific body movements - which became one  of Casteneda’s later books - and developed into a remaining Castaneda legacy called Tensegity - a word made up and made famous by Buckminster Fuller (who described tensegrity as a combination of tensional integrity, the forces at work in a structure that is formed by a finite network of compression).

However, to those still following the embers of Castaneda’s ideas - Tensegity is “positions and movements of body and breath that were dreamt and stalked by men and women seers who lived in Mexico in ancient times, and taught to Carlos Castaneda, Florinda Donner-Grau, Taisha Abelar and Carol Tiggs by their teacher, don Juan Matus, a Yaqui Indian from Yuma, Arizona, and Sonora, Mexico, and the heir to a lineage of seers that originates in Mexico of ancient times”. Indeed, here’s a page to their current workshops with many testimonials - http://www.cleargreen.com/ - and, yes, evidently, enlightenment can be bought for a price.

Now, of course, `the body’ and `movements’  has been seen as a way to enlightenment for ages; and, is one of the waysother than mind enhancement. Ouspensky and Gurdijeff said there were four ways - one being the body.

And, frankly, as a juggler myself - I know that repetition of body movements is an excellent manner for awareness concentration/understanding. So, evidently, a surviving aspect of the legacy of Castaneda’s ideas - uses movement as a way to enlightenment with a mix of Don Juan ideas thrown in for good measure.

Now, as I posit in my title - Lujan Matus - can also be understood as an ember of the legacy of Don Juan the man of knowledge.

But first - a few words about Don Juan for those unfamiliar with CC. For a character front and center in the books - with tons of ideas of separate realities - Don Juan’s Wikipedia is under 500 words - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Juan_Matus – but - interestingly - “In their writings, Taisha Abelar, Florinda Donner-Grau and Lujan Matusalso included the character of don Juan Matus, although he went by different pseudonyms such as Mariano Aureliano. In all of these books don Juan Matus was a nagual who was leader of a group of practitioners of tradition of perceptual enhancement” - and, indeed, the Tensegity site said also that Don Juan personally `taught’ these women (and Carol Tiggs). And, it is these women - known as `the witches’ - who led one of the main elements of mystery to the whole saga - as I will get into shortly.

Indeed, these women have bigger bio’s in Wikipedia than Don Juan. First, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florinda_Donner Florinda Donner - born Regine Margarita Thal - eventually, she writes three books, one with Castaneda, - one of which is about South American rain-forest tribes that has been disputed as to being fiction too- and even marrys Castenada. — One of her books is called `Being-in-Dreaming: An Initiation into the Sorcerers’ World’ - she too emphasizing the controlled lucid dream state as Castaneda did (and Lujan Matus). Her final mystery? Has to be her disappearing/disappearance shortly after CC’s death in 1998. Indeed, she was NOT the only one to `disappear’ after CC died.

But, Donner was not Carlos’s only wife - he had married one of his longtime witches only two days later after Donner- Carol Tiggs - born named Kathleen Adair Pohlman (all of Castaneda’s inner female circle changed names, sometimes more than once - cut their hair short and dyed it blond) - she did NOT write a book and actually was known as breaking away from CC for sometime before joining his close knit group once again.

Another of the witches was `Taisha Abelar who along with Regine Thal, and Kathleen Pohlman, who would come to be known collectively as “the witches”‘ - She also wrote a book about her Don Juan experiences called ` The Sorcerer’s Crossing: A Woman’s Journey, also `left Los Angelos’  after CC’s death and hasn’t been heard from since.

Finally, we have the woman, witch, that was adopted by CC - April Partin. Who  sometime in late April Patricia Partin left Los Angeles, along with Florinda Donner-Grau, Taisha Abelar, Kylie Lundahl and Talia Bey, and was never heard from again. All of their telephone numbers were disconnected on the same day. Early in May Partin’s car was found abandoned in Death Valley’s remote Panamint Dunes.After the death of Castaneda, accounts started to come out about the cult-like activities taking place within Castaneda’s compound. In August 2003 Amy Wallace, who was at one time a sexual partner of Castaneda’s, published her book The Sorcerer’s Apprentice: My Life with Carlos Castaneda, which provided the first real inside look into the cult that Castaneda had been creating.^{[4] Evidently, all of CC’s women cut their hair short and dyed it blond too.Another mystery of sorts was that CC was said to have died in April 1998 but it wasn’t reported for months - some speculated that CC and his witches simply vanished from the world together. Certainly that is part of the impression left.But, even with CC dead and Don Juan seemingly only a fictional character - the final embers of Don Juan’s knowledge was to be heard from one more time.}

^{This time, - it wouldn’t be from CC’s inner core of women followers - it would be in the DREAMS of Lujan Matus. (He also changed his name to this - one part Lujan was for his `dream maker’ being - the other - Matus - to honor Don Juans knowledge imparted in Lujan’s lucid dream  - separate reality - state. And, BTW, according to Lujan - Don Juan represents `intention’ in the stalking of awareness.)} 

^{Now, it would be very easy to dismiss the book written by Lujan Matus as utter BS - as some have dismissed ALL the books connected with CC and Don Juan in any manner as fiction. Indeed, I will not give you any final judgement on that issue. But, I only bought this book and read it because of the Don Juan connection; wondering if someone was claiming `current’ contact in some manner - wondering just what was the basis for the book to begin with.}

^{And, when I had the book in hand (given as a gift, never read excerpts or bookcover) and read the back cover - that Don Juan’s contact with Lujan would be via Lujan’s dreams - I had my doubts big time. After all, how could such an event occur - how could he remember it to write down in a waking state - etc. And, therefore, I wasn’t expecting much if anything of an esoteric nature.}

^{But, then, I began the book - and - immediately, instantly, I was impressed with the words and meanings being conveyed. Very impressed. Impressed to the point that I knew it was going to be one helluva read. This guy - Lujan - was either getting some special esoteric information from the great beyond - OR - had really really thought out a `structure of perception’ similar to what Castaneda described in his first book - and comprised the appendix of the book in outline form (some of the heaviest pages ever written).}

^{Perhaps I shouldn’t have been surprised as he used these words on his back cover: “Upon entering this remarkable continuum of events the reader begins to be magically integrated, through the generation of internal imagery that bends the parameters of perception and invariably transforms consciousness itself” (my italic emphasis).Now, I will not try to reduce this book to a series of long passages that are incredible from the book - passages that do indeed seem to be providing real esoteric (secret) knowledge about perception, the abilities of perception,  and awareness of the mind. Nor will I try to show all the similarities between what CC wrote in his books as knowledge from DJ - and the knowledge supposedly given by him in Lujan’s dreams - as there is some overlap and enhancement.}

So, at least TWO forms of CC’s and DJ’s `teachings’ - still have A Fire Within. The embers of a legacy - and perhaps, with a path to knowledge and separate realities.

Hello, thanks for visiting The Heavy Stuff (THS) today. If you are a regular, I had to go to this new format-theme  to be able to maintain a sidebar on my posts that are by individual pages - most likely the manner that you arrived (via a link) today (meaning a link ending with a post number). That said, I like this look - new understated theme for `heavy’ ideas.

Ok, today’s post is literally to look - briefly - at my personal bookshelf - the books - so to say - that made my mind the way it is ( and that you read on THS). The reviews below are ones that I wrote years ago for my squidoo site - I’ve copy and pasted them here for you to get my sense of how `heavy’ these books are. And yes, they are in the order of the heaviest first .

Number One
The systematic analysis of the philosophy of Being - the book which `lays out’ what existentialism IS. Includes such amazing chapter titles as Being-In-Itself; The Ontological Proof, and The Origin of Nothingness. This is the book for you if you want to have even the smallest grasp on `Temporality’ or `Transcendence’. The paperback version is over 800 pages — get ready for the read of a lifetime. Heavy rating of 10+.

Number Two
Quite simply the BIBLE of phenomenology and consciousness thought. If you think you have thought about the `issues’ of mind and matter — think again — unless you have read this very very rare book. Husserl thought out the ideas of Phenomenology in the late 1800’s and to this very day you can find people meeting in groups to discuss these mammoth ideas. Personally, my FAVORITE `heavy’ book of alltime. Heavy Rating 10+

Number Three
Is this the heaviest book written in the last 50 years? I’d say it could be. What else could possibly be heavier than being the first person to actually `figure out’ all the most perplexing astronomy data — and then to — `explain it’ to the rest of the scientists in the world. Yes, this is the man who figured out the `problem’ with the BIG BANG — and thought of the solution. The solution was INFLATION. Those amazing moments next to creation that included the notion that `space’ can expand `quicker’ than the speed of light. Indeed, if Guth is right (and one experiment after another has confirmed inflation) the universe we live in is huge in a manner that you have probably never even considered. For example, you may know that the `edge’ of our VISIBLE universe is about 13.7 billion years away — however, BEYOND that `visible edge’ lies OUR SAME UNIVERSE — we simply can’t see it (and never will) — but it is there with stars and worlds just like `here’ in our visible portion. But, get this, that `unseen portion’ of our universe is TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS times the size of our `visible’ portion. Yes, you need this book — how can you say NO to the heaviest book of the 1900’s? Heavy Rating 10+.

Number Four
In the 1970’s a student at UCLA wrote of his meetings with an Indian medicine man and sorcerer. These meetings involved gaining the actual understanding of the sorcerer’s worldview. This worldview supposedly led Castaneda into a `separate reality’ on occasion. These separate realities of the sorcerer included everyday phenomena and entities which lived in the special reality. Other special realities included controlled lucid dreaming - often described by researchers as a different mind state. This is NOT a book you want to say that you’ve NEVER read - a must read selection. Heavy Rating 10+ (I’ve read at least 7-8 Carlos Books BTW - this was the best.)

Number Five
Like the ideas of Husserl, the ideas of Ouspensky and Gurdjeff also have people STILL TO THIS DAY forming groups to discuss how heavy the thoughts are. Indeed, they are heavy; some would say that this is the BEST consciousness book ever written — the most intense examination of `mind’ ever undertaken. If the book was to be `summed up’ in one sentence it would be `THE ONLY THING IS TO AWAKE’. Heavy Rating 10. (Like Castaneda, I’ve read several of Ouspensky’s books too.)

Number Six
Another very rare book — you’d NEVER run across this out of print in the store so here is your chance. If you have ever wondered about the many various `types of time’ — this is your book. Most interesting are the chapters devoted to the very idea of FREEWILL and DETERMINISM and their relation to time and dimensional time. Can any time be real that isn’t here now? This is the book if you want the speculative answers. Heavy Rating - 10.

Number Seven
Here’s my bow to religion on earth for humans — and, indeed, it’s very heavy. It seems non-attachment is a universal theme in a lot of esoteric thought — you won’t find a better writer on the subject than the late Alan Watts. This is Zen Buddhism at it’s very best. If you lean to the spirtitual side this might be for you. Heavy Rating - 10. (One of several Watts books I’ve devoured.)

Number Eight
Many folks feel that `Bucky’ Buckminster Fuller was the greatest thinker of the 1900’s. If you have never seen his world map without distortion - you haven’t seen the world in true proportion. Bucky was such a great thinker that a type of CARBON is named after him — is there a greater honor than that. You must be familiar with this book and some of his greatest ideas. Heavy Rating - 10.

Number Nine
A recent book which explores some `oddities’ in Utah in the mid 1990’s. Huge oddities. Of every type. That suggest that the multi-verse may be an answer for the unexplainable anomalies. Co-written by a TV reporter still active in Las Vegas, this is a well documented book. Very enjoyable and a fairly quick read for `heavy ideas’. Heavy Rating - 9+

Number Ten
This is a must book if you think you want to work on your own `consciousness’. Ouspensky’s Guru and the last of the wandering esoteric Masters. Great story. Heavy Rating - 9+ (Yes, this isn’t the only Gurdjieff book I’ve read.)

Number Eleven
Physics taken to the new limits of the 2000’s — this version saying that `time itself’ does not exist. This version says that only `space’ exists. And, that `that’ space — is `chosen’ via a method that compares one moment to another by selecting the `next space’ that is the `most similar’ with the least intrinsic difference from the previous `space’. Wonderfully heavy book by a renegade Physics writer. Heavy Rating - 10

Number Twelve
Further discussions of this `Hyperspace’ which seems to allow for every moment of time to be extended in a way. The way for space to be moved thru without time constraints. The actual answer to many anomalies perhaps. Hyperspace. You need to read more. Heavy Rating - 9+

Hello, and welcome back to The Heavy Stuff - the one blog that is willing to take `positions’ about events that occur within the High Strangeness - that is also `part’ of reality. And, as you can see by the title of today’s post `Why A Tenuous Reality Permits ParaNormal And Fortean Events’ - I will be pushing those outer extremities of my thoughts to cover such an ambitious description today. 

But, as a returning reader of The Heavy Stuff - you know that thought excursions around here are not new - such as my  post asking if Gnomes have a sustainable population. (Using that post to challenge Bigfoot believers into considering a different `take’ on Bigfoot - one of a temporal being - tied into our phenomenology for a segment of spaces.)

In fact, part of this thought excursion today is because of another bloggers efforts to figure out the high strangeness surrounding the Bigfoot issue. In his blog he found out, thru his readership, of many reports of Bigfoots AND Ufo’s occurring virtually simultaneously  - and even a few times had the Bigfoot `inside’ the ufo/craft.

And, because of the sheer number of reports like these - he was beginning to question the `real location-ness’ of all anomalous entities/creatures - even going so far as to surmise ALL of the Bigfoots and UFO’s - lack a reality within our common consensus. (I might be able to think that all Bigfoots are temporary - but - to me UFO’s - crafts - have at least a portion of them being within our common consensus of real object perceptions - IMO.)

But, back to this posts theme.

Indeed, first, I’d really like to `look’ at the word `tenuous’ as it is a seldom used word in today’s society - yet - nearly perfectly describes the `real’ reality we see and experience. You will also find during this post that in a sense, my Phenomenology, the one I will discuss, is similar to the thoughts of Julian Barbour - in that - I describe everything as a space - (even what some would call `a time’ - such as now).

Why is tenuous the perfect description - you say?

First, let us begin with a dictionary meaning for tenuous:

1. not dense 2. not thick 3. having little substance or strength 4. SHAKY (reasons)(on grounds that were)

To me, the above words describe the `space’ of the reality I see`now’ - `instantaneously’ - `as it passes’ - the unchangeable once counted reality of `not-able-to-not-be’ (Phillips Phenomenology) - the real reality that must pass, must run-off. The one that according to Julian Barbour is the `best matching, with the least intrinsic difference’ compared to the previous now instant.  THAT reality is NOT dense, NOT thick, has LITTLE SUBSTANCE, - based on a momentary belief in what this moment brought — the definition of Tenuous.

A reality that is NORMALLY (as opposed to paraNormally) composed of `things’ or `objects’ (or `spaces’ literally) that are `around me’ and `within my vision’. My pen, the computer. Objects whose `light and location’ I see as `almost simulantaneous’  — almost immediately AFTER their NOW occurs. (And it is this `flow time/space’ from their `now-space’  - to our `recieving of their now’ - that actualizes their Not-able-to-be - Space into the unchangable Not-Able-To-Not-Be ———- shared, space of real reality that we all agree upon exists `in front of us’ as it runs off).

Simply put;  no now has duration - it, the now,  is always `on’ to/as the `next now’ - that is provided to our senses via light waves bouncing off the objects around us - literally reflecting their now `into’ a common now - with NO duration - that we sense as simultaneously instantaneously vanishing.

We have no ability to act on the now as it passes other than to project our own now (and our now’s actions and intentions) into the same not-able-to-not-be tenuous quasi-reality - built on the expired nows of spaces that are not us.

However, as you know,  our NORMAL reality - seems anything but tenuous - it SEEMS solid and permanent. But, also, as you know, science KNOWS differently (objects are not solids - and the spaces between atoms of the space that IS US vastly exceeds the tiny kernels of matter that we are ultimately composed of) - and - if you have ever had a ParaNormal event happen to you - you KNOW differently too - that the solidness and the permanence of the reality one calls real - may be less than reliable or solid.

Are you still with me? Hopefully, I’ll try to explain all of this more. But, back to the word tenuous and it’s comparison to the reality actualization moment we view constantly and instantaneously. 

Our viewed NOW is `not dense’ `not thick’ `has little substance or strength’ and is seemingly based on `reasons-built (especially, evidently, in the case of the paraNormal) on shaky ground’.

Obviously, I am not the first to suggest that a `reality moment’ can be built on `belief’ or `reasons’. Even, areality, that moment to moment, is so stable - as to not bring into question its very flimsiness.

But, on rare occasions - that thin, not dense, shaky reality, grounded on shaky reasons - momentarily - `breaks down’ and `allows’ the vision OR experiencing of something that is ALSO real - ALSO part of the momentary reality we can `see’ and experience as real.

Call it a special consensus reality that ties back to `what is special’ about human consciousness - that being - it’s able-to-not-be(ness).

Human consciousness is not tied with the the body-space’s need to be Not-Able-To-Be - it is a `free and separate’ space (that is, again, able to not be, it’s own space). Yes, human consciousness has its own space too that is `present’ as part of our reality mix. Now, 99.999..% of the time, the able-to-not-be `space’, is attending to the body’s Not-able-to-be space.

 But, then enters, as Carlos Casteneda would say - `a cubic centimeter of chance’ - and our tenuous reality shows its diversity.

Often, it seems, that the NON-Normal reality is literally `triggered’ by a set of intentionality’s by humans and their consciousness. So, the `Ghosthunter’ `finds’ evidence of `ghosts’ when the tenuous consensus of normal everyday intentionality’s is replaced by a set of intentionality’s by the human that beckon the `unknown spaces’ present in ALL reality (normally below the `seeing’ or evidence perception threshold).

In the same manner - Bigfoot expeditions - may trigger `the space’ that represents `Bigfoot’s’ - then obtaining objective evidence of howls or even thermal images or EVEN real hair from the temporary creature/entity.

When all this happens, these `spaces’ then become `real spaces’ within the context of the `observers’ of the non-consensus reality space- ie:the bigfoot — that IS INDEED `THERE’ (right then - temporarily).  The tenuousness of our reality we can observe being `pliable’ - and tenuous - even for OUR very space (our body).

And, while Ghosts and Bigfoots may represent part of this tenuousness - to me - there are even more impressive examples of the tenuousness of reality and the seldom mentioned  `restriction’ of the `non-consensus’ reality to only the observers at that moment.

So, you ask, what could be more impressive than evidence of a `temporal entitiy’ than a specific ghost or mythological creature such as the Bigfoot?

Doppelgangers for one.

Now, normally, doppelganger means `ghostly counterpart to a living person’ — these would include the oft mentioned doppelgangers of the immigrants of the 1600’s and 1700’s - where it was often told that a person who was immigrating to America on a ship and who died in the voyage on the ship - would have their `doppelganger’ be seen in the old European village they had left to make their voyage. Great spine-tingle stuff.

However, the epitome of doppelgangers would be the pilots of Eastern Flight 401 of which I’ve blogged about before. Those dead `ghostly’ images of living persons — actually materialized `in the flesh’ - way beyond a `ghostly’ impression. Not only that - they stayed viable for minutes at a time on occasion.  Much like a `real bigfoot’. (It is important to note that when `doubt’ was cast towards the pilot doppelgangers they `vanished instantaneously’ — or - when the doppelgangers `own actions - intentionality’s’ ended.)

The OTHER `tenuousness’ of reality - to me - is even more interesting as it is the `replacement’ of `our common consensus reality’ for `another consensus reality’ – and an example of this was the Mutual Hypnosis (done by Charles Tart in the 1960’s) realities `shared’ by those participants.

Those realities were completely functional and allowed movement and exploration by the participants in a reality they `both saw’ and experienced. (This is also reminiscent of Carlos Castaneda learning to `see’ Don Juan’s `separate reality’.)  Indeed, these OTHER REALS — accessible alone or even with others - point to the obvious `tenuousness’ of the real we all experience. An idea that has some disturbing features and leads to speculation that reality is simply a simulation or even a software simulation.

That said, they all involve one common characteristic WITHIN our fuller common consensus reality that we normally call Real. And that is Singular Human Observers (the space of such). Indeed, the REALITY of our space - includes these other non-ordinary descriptions - it’s just that `normally’ our conscious space isn’t looking for or expecting the miraculous - but, at other times it, our conscious space,  is - and guess what - our tenuous reality - full of intentionality’s and expectations as to what the next moment will bring - becomes super focused on a narrower `now’ than normally.

Eventually, with the human intentionality’s, this `willingness’, the narrowness, can produce an anomalous event. Indeed, it’s my theory that those in the paraNormal news who seem to be able to `call orbs’ or even `call ufos’ — are simply participating in this tenuous `now’ phenomenology structure.

These `special spaces’ DIFFER from me and you in that OUR space is `Not-Able-To-Be’ spaces. Not-Able-To-Be spaces being the normal reality and observers.

But, even LIVE Not-Able-To-Be spaces - like you and I - can `switch’ our consensus to the `able-to-not-be’ - at least our observing intentionality’s can. This could be similar to a prayer, meditation, or simple focus of attention. And, when that happens:

Our tenuous reality permits the spaces of ParaNormal and Fortean Events - to be seen within our Phenomenology.

Hello, welcome to The Heavy Stuff; my blog in which I take on some of the `heaviest’ ideas. And, as you can see from the title of today’s posting - the ideas of Carlos Castaneda will be my focus. But, before that - a little background about my `influences’ from Castaneda.

I first became aware of Carlos Castaneda, the writer, - when I encountered Joseph Chilton Pearce’s book `The Crack In The Cosmic Egg’ in late 1973 - a book which focused on the `miracles’ of Don Juan (the Mexican Man of Knowledge in his books - an Indian Sorcerer) and the miracles of Jesus (it also focused on hot coal walking miracles).

Now, Pearce’s book happened to be the first HEAVY book (incredible ideas) that I had ever encountered. I felt that way because it literally tried to `explain the reality we see’ - in a new way to me. It felt as if my mind was suddenly stimulated in a non-ordinary way; which was part of the appeal he described about the ideas of Carlos Castaneda. So, of course, I got and read and read over - Carlos Castaneda’s first book.

Eventually, I read nearly all of his books over the next several decades; most of his early ones within days of release. I had multiple friends in the 1970’s with which we would share our Castaneda ideas together. I even had an anomalous event with one of those folks that was seemingly directly related to the Castaneda ideas

Now, before you think I was or am an outright cheerleader for Carlos Castaneda - let me say that in 1976 I got the Richard De Mille book (and still have it) called `Castaneda’s Journey’ `the power and the allegory’. And, I largely accepted De Mille’s research into the `realness’ of the esoteric Yaqui Indian Knowledge that Carlos supposedly encountered. Indeed, to me, it seemed that perhaps all but the first Castaneda book (at that time in 1976) was fiction. And, perhaps, even the first book.

So, with that in mind - let it be said that this post is NOT going to be about the incredible non-ordinary worlds that Carlos goes on to describe in book after book - for decades. However, this link, at no point talks about - what is to me - my favorite REAL Castaneda `idea’.

And, that `idea’ was/is `controlled lucid dreaming’ — something that I was able to experience using the very method described in the early Castaneda books. Basically, the initial step of that `method’ involved boosting one’s awareness in the dream INTO the lucid state (where you know you are dreaming while in the dream) thru `looking for your hands’.

More specifically, in his book `The Second Ring Of Power’ on page 269 of the hardback edition is this:

“…He only gave me pointers. Finding my hands in my dreams was the first pointer; then the exercise of paying attention was elongated to finding objects, looking for specific features, such as buildings, streets, and so on. From there the jump was to `dreaming’ about specific places at specific times of the day. The final stage was drawing the `attention of the nagual’ to focus on the total self“

Now, Carlos goes onward - but - that is not the purpose of the post - what is the purpose is to bring you notes from my `notebook’ at the time - literally a diary of some of the non-ordinary that Carlos’s words seemed to have inspired. And, in that regard - let me bring you verbatim - some of those experiences.

Jan. 30th, 1975 - “1st success in partial setting up of dreaming. I tried to go to Euclid (ohio) on a sidewalk next to my fathers firestation and my old (high) school. My very next dream - I was in Euclid and became conscious of my dream when I realized IN THE DREAM, that I was very close - a few hundred yards - to my place of the set-up event.”

March 5th - “Yesterday I experienced a multitude of intellectual rushes for about 30 minutes and it was the strongest sustained yet. However, today, I accomplished my finest philosophical experience yet. After reading The 4th Way philosophy (by Ouspensky) for the second time - I shut off my inner dialouge virtually at will for about 1-15 minutes, when after long consideration I realized that `to think - you must listen’ to your thoughts. I have achived the ability not to listen and to hold thereby the thinking to a minumum. But, here, is what I did. I laid down and tried to hold this (special) consciousness as I went to sleep and (to) find my hands. After a vivid and nearly lucid dream of being on high rocks and working in the dream to the edge of the rocks - about 50 feet up - I woke up. Remembered my goal - fell back asleep and the dream continued from the same point. I then, without any difficulty, brought my left hand into view, looked at it, and then my right hand into view. I sustained the sight of them for a few seconds, my right hand went back to a rock and the dream ended. I HAVE DONE IT. This also was a dream in the late morning and in my dream I felt it was the early day. The hands “looked real” enough that I thought “If I bit them they would hurt” They were unlike any ordinary object I’d ever seen in common consensus though.

Now, I believe that I have about 8 other `controlled lucid dreams’ in my notebook that I may share with my readers at some point; nearly all of them involving using Castaneda’s `hand method’ into controlled lucid dreaming.

Nowadays, you can buy tapes that seem to induce `lucid dreams’ - where you know you are dreaming in the dream. And, again, nowadays, some even encourage you to use that as a starting point to control your dream destiny and even your real destiny. Ideas that Carlos Castaneda brought forth in the 1970’s - ideas that do link to some non-ordinary reality state. And, one I’ve experienced.

Hello, welcome back to The Heavy Stuff (THS) - the blog that has the purpose to take positions on realities greatest mysteries. Just as we did last week on speculation about collective Lucid Dreams appearing in space. You can count on THS to speculate into matters not normally touched upon by simply UFO folks or Ghost story fans or skeptics of both.

As you can see by today’s title post - it’s time to speculate and simply entertain some ideas about `the dead’ - and to strip `the dead’ of any religious connotations (which is what our level of mankind seems most interested about). And, for the purposes of this posting, we will assume that `we as humans - go onward - after death’. And, of course, onward to `where’ is a major unanswered question to mankind - despite `advances’ in using science to study the `problem’.

Sometimes, the methodology is straight forward - such as recently it was announced that a study is going to be conducted with those with NDE’s (near death experiences, usually clinically dead folk) - by placing an object out of view except to someone who `leaves their body’ during the `death process’. By asking the revived patients if they `saw’ this particular thing - the physicians hope to prove the `out of body experience’ as one of the features of the NDE too.

Other `science’ used at getting behind the screen of death is to use EVP (electronic voice phenomena) as a method. Now, most readers of THS will be familiar with this field - but - in   a nutshell - it hopes to capture `words from beyond’ on tape as proof of survival. And, of course, `speaking with the dead’ via seance has long been part of `experiments’ to reach the dead. Indeed, if you have never heard the Leslie Flint Tapes - of which THS has written before http://theheavystuff.com/?p=27 - you owe to to yourself to `hear’ what the dead have said about the `real’ afterlife. Each tape is full of `truths’.

Indeed, based on the Flint tapes - it seems like `life’, when dead, will be quite `different’ than on Earth as earthlings. `Life’ will be us - in a space - doing the things we liked to do and interacting with folks who like similar things - or who liked us in life. The tapes seem to indicate that `for awhile’ one might continue to `eat’ - `or to wear clothes’. But, that `after awhile’ - our dead body realizes that it doesn’t need to eat - and also - doesn’t seem to `need contiguous space’. We think, and there we ARE - the transition time and space of our placement becomes much less important - regardless of how real things STILL SEEM TO BE.

Perhaps the funniest thing about the afterlife that the Flint Tapes seems to indicate is that `even in the afterlife there will still be those who say they are enlightened - and who will encourage the personality you still have - to `give it up’ — and to either join them at a higher level or to advance towards God or Light. To go beyond the afterlife.

Now, let’s use some of what we might know - based on what is written above to do some speculation and observation too. Such as ghost experiences and hauntings.

Frankly, nearly all ghost experiences seem limited to ONE ghost - seldom is it multiple ghosts - or a whole slew of ghosts. There doesn’t seem to be a `collective dead’ that is able to materialize. The ghosts that do materialize do not seem to be hanging out with others bringing their will/consciousness/space into our living world. (That is not to say that in some seances or `communications’ that some `additional’ spirit wants to take over the communication - so, two or even a few seems to be a limit.) Maybe it’s just hard to get folks together at the same `real’ place and same `real’ time when they have been `dead’ for awhile. Perhaps the `real’ just isn’t that interesting.

But, the question that THS is trying to get behind in this post is `could the dead evolve’? After-all, lots of gurus of thought have died - Einstein, Husserl, Gandhi, Sartre, —- does it matter what additional intelligence is added by their deaths? Could those interested in the subject matter of communicating with the dead - after they die - have access to NEW information about EVP or other methods? Could the `best heads’ be put together on the `other side’ to more effectively reach our humanity on `this side’?

Frankly, honestly, it doesn’t seem that experience of our collective reality is suggesting that the collective dead of humanity is evolving - except perhaps in one manner. A very speculative manner.

What if our consciousness IS light. Or, at best - could be light. What if the Tulpas or Orbs seen in the sky more often in the last few years are a result of `conscious light’ visiting Earth and humans. Conscious light that is developing, evolving, from the 95 billion dead humans of the last million years. Especially, the `intelligent’ ones who have died recnetly with more awareness than in times and eras past.

THS is reminded of the Carlos Castaneda book - The Eagles Gift - which ends on Page 315 (hardback version) with the final visions that Carlos had of the Sorcerer Don Juan - as they all jumped off a cliff to their certain death.

“On my left side, however, I realized that I had entered into the other self….The warriors of don Juan’s party had caught me for an eternal instant, before they vanished into the total light……They were waiting for don Juan and don Genaro. I saw don Juan taking the lead. And then there was only a line of exquisite lights in the sky….There was a massive glow on one end of the lights where don Juan was…”

Perhaps the best that a human can attain is being `free light’ able to roam the cosmos with intentionality’s. And, that would be quite an evolution for the ape with opposing thumbs. Heavy Stuff Indeed.

The Heavy Stuff (THS) loves this time of year most for the `best of’ lists that appear in the media. It could be the best astronomy pictures, the best news-stories…. but THS’s favorite (of course) are the Lists involving the paranormal. THS’s especially enjoys the lists from great sites like www.about.com and www.cryptomundo.com (both found on great paranormal link sites like www.anomalist.com  and www.thedailygrail.com and THS’s own www.squidoo.com/anomalyman ). When all the amazing `out of normal consensus’ events are taken in their totality — no wonder our heads spin. And, while we have TWO days or so for the ultimate anomaly of the year — THS would like to present our own `nutshell’ listing.

UFO’s

1. FAA’s denial of the Nov.06 O’Hare Ufo Incident in Jan. 07— The uproar this created in the media was the most since the famed Phoenix Lights Incident in 1997. CNN even utilized the famous `silhouette’ type of lighting with disguised voices to get the information to `all of us’.

2. Costa Rica Cellphone UFO - THS has this link on our Squidoo site for Dec. 10th —- here’s the direct link — http://naturalplane.blogspot.com/2007/12/interesting-ufo-video-recorded-in-costa.html — THS’s position is that with the amazing graphics now possible with computers — it’s REAL events like these captured on `technology, but, less tamper-able technology’ (such as cellphones) are the new `credible’ type of evidence. In this amazing cellphone captures, one can clearly see the atypical saucer UFO.

3. The Haiti UFO clip. — Look at #2 to realise that `close up ufo videos’ are now to be relegated to `entertainment’ by the media. For fellow followers of this type material — the Haiti video caused a huge initial stir, made the TV media, and then seemed NOTHING but a PR hoax. The media was burned is THS’s take of the incident.

4. The Lake Erie UFO (s) — While shot with a video camera (with the typical ‘what’s that dude’ talk) to THS — this was very convincing of something going on involving objects in the sky. The video link is available on my other lens www.squidoo.com/anomalyman2006 . In summary, a bright object out over Lake Erie has another anomalous object come out of nowhere, approach it, and then receded.

5. Presidential candidates and politicians in UFO spotlight….. Somehow, the subject was deemed worthy of comment by more than one candidate; and two politicians - Kucinich and the Former Arizona Governor admitted to seeing UFO’s themselves and being awestruck. Late in the year, officials in Japan seemed to come close to `disclosing’ the whole UFO matter. Don’t hold your breath.

6. Roswell `deathbed’ confessions….. At least two old timers with first hand knowledge came forward in the past year — one in a letter opened only after his death — and the other an 85 year old codger. BOTH said there were saucers and dead alien bodies.

Also rans include; The `Mile Wide’ Europe UFO….. This was in the spring, spotted by a pilot (remember authority is important) – got lots of coverage before the Haiti hoax — part of the slow media expanding portrayal (indoctrination?) that some UFO’s are `massive’.

Other Anomalous Events and THS’s Positioning

In this area, THS would like to be more general about the anomalous 2007 events.

               BIGFOOT

Is it news that Bigfoot, once again, was unconfirmed for another year? Despite many sponsored searches? Despite rocks being thrown on top of cabins 200 miles from humanity? Despite many reports of the `creature’ near populated areas in Florida? (And unpopulated areas of course.) Despite a blurry video or two of what seem to be `apes’ in the woods?

Yes, evidently it is news — and some of the years best `stories’ are of Bigfoot and it’s footprints and `fleeting impressions’. While never commented on before in this blog — THS’s positioning on Bigfoot’s is that they are `temporary creature/events’. Only this could account for lack of ` a body’ after this length of time and interest. At least that is what `common sense’ says. LOL.

FLYING HUMANOIDS

Could Flying Humanoids be the next big thing in paranormal? THS knows that if you are not a HUGE fan of this type of material that these stories may have escaped you. They happened (supposedly). What in the world is to be made of this? Is this humans who have achieved some supernatural level like Don Juan in Carlos Castaneda’s books? Are these entities from beyond just enjoying our planet (and to flip us out)? Have they learned from Chris Angel? Are we indeed in some sort of computer that literally gives us random images from time to time? Are these archetypes?

Ghosts (orbs)

Maybe Ohio is a haunted place with all those Indian Spirits — but the Blue Ghost in Ohio this year was one of the best. More and more `orblike’ things were seen on camera; sometimes even going in and out of infants mouths. Some folks are beginning to claim they can call orbs for photographs– or put orbs into the sky (such as Prophet Yahweh). The meshing of orbs and `rods’ can’t be far away can it?

CONTRAILS

Legions of folks are beginning to speak about how the sky is different compared to just 15 years ago. They realize that the HUGE X’S and patterns they see are totally different than how the sky has looked most of their lifetimes. Others are beginning to do what amounts to `people research’ on the phenomena for the media. Is the biggest paranormal story right in front of us daily and worldwide?

AND FINALLY

Finally, there were other very cool paranormal reads. The dead father who `came thru’ a woman’s young son to speak to her. The friend `found’ after a vivid dream. The disappearing Bees. Elephants that can tell the good people from bad people. Fish in tanks as smart as 4 year olds. Chimps better at remembering than college students. And finally, The Drones of 2007.

Can 2008 have more high strangeness than this?

When one is reading a website that has as its positioning statement references to `Reality’ - one may already be treading on a slippery slope - nevertheless, The Heavy Stuff thanks you - and wants you to know you are not alone. While recently posts have been somewhat rare here - in the summer when posts were at two a month or so - The Heavy Stuff actually showed up in the Alexa numbers (and still shows but is off due to infrequent posts) — some summer months had over 10,000 unique visitors — so, thank you again. And, thanks to the various great websites that post many of the writings from here and keep them in your archives. I also appreciate the support of those of a `like mind’ who like reading about phenomenology and its concepts.

One of the concepts related to ontology is the idea of `finding real’ - the real real. The flowing `note’ of a series of `notes’ in a song. The `moment’ of videotaping some paranormal event - thereby proving that IT was in the real with us. We KNOW we `reside’ in the real. It is one of the most compelling things about the experienced reality structure we all accept. When WE are in the presence of another person or thing - with our eyes open - we never question the authenticity of the shared experience of space and being in the same area of `space’.

But, this idea of real has always had a `rub‘ - something that doesn’t quite explain all events - especially those loosely described as `paranormal’. Indeed, one of the fondest questions the writer of The Heavy Stuff ever asked in a public setting occurred about 31-33 years ago (some hazy times then, right?) - the occasion was on a college campus in the Midwest. The Heavy Stuff decided to ask one of the hottest `Reality’ writers of the time - a `reality’ question.

At that time, The Heavy Stuff’s writer had been spontaneously writing phenomenology concepts independently without ever having encountered such writing before — and had been taking in very `heavy’ writers of the day (and yesteryear) including Castaneda, Watts, Tart, and the author about to be asked this question:

Could you please compare for me the `reality or realness’ of the controlled lucid dreamstates of Carlos Castaneda - compared - to the `subjective mutual realities’ that seemed to be shared in the Mutual Hypnosis of Charles Tart?

Joseph Chilton Pearce just starred at The Heavy Stuff’s face - but - calmly gave the questioner a compliment for the detail requested - and then - proceeded to give pretty much a non understandable response (that is not to say that the answer wasn’t of value). At the time of this encounter, Mr. Pearce was touring in support of either Crack In The Cosmic Egg - Or the follow up - Exploring the Crack In the Cosmic Egg = both books still worth a read.

But, it occurs to The Heavy Stuff that some readers of these posts may not be aware of the `details’ of both of the paranormal `realities’ that were being asked about in the above question. Specifically, first, let’s look at the `subjective mutual reality’ experienced under Tart’s Mutual Hypnosis sessions. Indeed, much of the material about to be quoted comes from Tart’s 589 page book `Altered States of Consciousness’ - this material is found over pages 297-315 and featured a review of two individuals who on three occasions entered what seems to be a `real’ reality. You decide.

The Heavy Stuff will not go into the method used, but, suffice it to say that each participant was hypnotising the other and `taking them deeper’ often `taking them with them deeper’ and often `ending up in a subjective reality of mutual consensus’. Meaning - they `saw’ the same phenomena and described the `location’ (afterwards, in post hypno session) as having the same `events’ which included full interaction with each other in this separate reality. These mutual realities included when they were asked to `take the other one into a dream’ - and - when they simply were taking each other deeper in the hypnotic state (without being told any dream cue).

In one of the Mutual Hypnosis sessions a person who had entered the room `became’ hypnotised and also `joined’ the mutual `shared reality’ of the test subjects — she literally, could `see’ them `ahead’ of her. Of interest is that the original test subjects (especially the male) strongly disliked the `extra’ persons presence and also disliked `contact’ by Tart `from the outside’ — when he tried to control the level each subject was experiencing.

The Heavy Stuff asks still — is that reality - `real’? Does, real have degrees? Are the `spaces’ (including the human consciousnesses) within that reality - real? Does a `shared space’ define REAL? Just where ARE these spaces `normally’? Are they the part of Space that The Heavy Stuff implies may be more timelike - more having the able-to-not-be `actualizer’ than the normal space actualizer of Not-able-to-be. A different description of space. Part of the virtual being actualized `somewhen’.

Finally, The Heavy Stuff will simply refer quickly to the famous method laid out in the first Carlos Castaneda books about `dreaming’ - it involved finding your hands in your `dream’ - and staring at them - then looking OUT into the space around you - finding objects - then, back to the hands for a reference point - then back out into the space around you, finding more and more objects. Building a reality as you go - or - even `going’ to a reality you desire.

This `shared’ reality seems to be of the individual and the ontological structure around them. Literally, the description of `how to gain a foothold in another description of real - of reality’. A reality well beyond the dreams of the ordinary consciousness(that said, this may all be but another qualitative description of the dreamstates potentials).

Frankly, The Heavy Stuff finds both of these `states’ to fill the criteria for `being real’. Being capable of creating `real experience’ - perceivable real experience. Being capable of a ontological structure with volume to `do actions’ within phenomena. Observable actions. The reality have a `here’ and a `there’ - a `before’ and an `after’ - mutually felt as a duration with location.

Notice how the question isn’t `was the subjects bodies in the room with Tart not real’ - of course - they are in our agreed space. No, the question is `are the subjects bodies, their spaces, IN THE OTHER REALITY real?’

And, that brings us again to those other examples The Heavy Stuff has explored before (delve into this site) - of human spaces with `unusual’ space origins - The Ghosts of Flight 401, a showing by Jesus, Doppelgangers, and the other few recorded examples of human simultaneous bi-location(co-existence) (solid human forms of the same individual in two locations).

Perhaps these other spaces are real all the `time’ but only `actualize’ in the rarest of `normal spaces’. Perhaps, these other `able-to-not-be’ spaces have real duration beyond our detection. A real that exists beyond or as part of this reality. A real that calls into question just `how real is real’?

One of the most bizarre of all human reported `anomalies of the reality structure’ involves the human experience of `missing time’. My guess is that no one who reads this blog or who comes to this blog from another link of similar material doesn’t know of descriptions of this phenomena. But, for the few who have never heard of this — an individual `arrives’ at a location of which the travel should have taken X amount of minutes; but, instead — several hours has passed. Some impossible time-frame (the hours for minutes is only an example) for the events of the human observer during that period.It’s literally as if ones continuum is normal and free-flowing — but the result — is anything but `normal and free-flowing’ — it’s as if the structure of reality permitted `time’ to `speed up’ for that person.

Those very familiar with this whole phenomena know that it often; BUT NOT ALWAYS; goes `deeper’ than a normal reality consciousness experience. Often this phenomena occurs during a UFO sighting — for others – this kind of phenomena (UFO) is `recovered’ during hypnosis of the `missing time’ event. Perhaps even more interesting to me is that personally I don’t remember anything about the missing time phenomena before UFO’s - arrived in literature. I anxiously await someone to draw to my attention this description of `time-flow’ in a period prior to 1947. It certainly seems more than a casual connection — that said — again — there are those who have this kind of experience and  who DON’T have UFO connections to the `space-time’ event.

It’s at this point that I’d like to make a physics connection to the missing time phenomena that until I write these words I’ve never seen in print. I’d like to make a positioned guess about what seems impossible — but — must be occurring to some humans to produce this `missing space’ experience. READY?

Well, one of the most known but amazing things known about traveling at the speed or near the speed of light is that `time slows down’ — if you remember — that is how the imaginary `spaceman’ goes 99% of the `speed of light’ (really the speed of time - or - relative flow of actualized space) for years into space but when he returns to Earth he finds that hundreds of years have passed and all his relatives are dead. It’s one of the wildest and true statements to come from all the esoteric thoughts of science over the last few centuries. Time-space is NOT flowing the same for all-spaces —- such as the `space’ of a `spaceman’ going near the speed of light.

Now, obviously, when folks `miss time’ - with or without the UFO experience — isn’t it possible that `their space’ — literally, the atoms which represent `their space’ within the time-space continuum — could be `removed temporarily’ from the continuum and `accelerated’.

Yes, I’m suggesting that literally the `space’ which is John Doe - `when exposed to some unknown element’ — be it UFO’s or the `space thing’ that represents the ability to `accelerate spaces’. (Perhaps something moving already at the near light speed which slows down for a moment and captures the `spaceman’ which is US.)

No wonder folks don’t remember the `missing time’ part — the `space’ which is US would be traveling at a rate it never has before. No wonder our brain would not function as a proper recording device under such circumstances. Especially a brain equipped to only record every 10 or so impressions out of the 100 or so our brain records every second.

But, obviously, the `missing time experiencer’ is not going to distant stars and returning centuries later. But, and this is scary to put into print — many `missing time experiencers’ are missing only an hour or two at most. (That is except for the amazing description of Travis Walton’s amount of `missing time’).

So, what I’m saying, is that when all other ideas have been eliminated, about an anomalous event like missing time — why not look at the science side for an explanation. This seems exactly like that to me. Again; a `UFO device’ traveling near the speed of light - is able to `isolate an individual space on a planet - at a given moment’ - the UFO device `takes’ the person on a `journey’ which when over  — the person returns at the same great rate of speed (time) — and conversely — is slowed to the current actualization speed of the event horizon.

And, guess what happens then? The consciousness of an individual realizes that one is `missing space’ to fill the `elasped time’.

What do you think - is this logical? Could `space’, literally the actual `space’ of a person, be `removable’ from the `flow-speed’? And, as Carlos Castaneda used to ask Don Juan “what happened to my body when I became a crow” — the question is what, if anything, happens to the perceivable space we call ourselves during such an anomaly occurrence with the reality structure?
