The Heavy Stuff

Hello, welcome back to The Heavy Stuff (THS) - thanks for hitting the link or favorited bookmark (and, also, to my 40 or so subscribers too). Today’s post is a little off the beaten path compared to the `normal’ (lol) posting on this blog (normal around here are speculations about consciousness, the afterlife, ufo’s and such - and, indeed I’m working on at least two posts right now) - as this post  covers what I am now calling `Heavy News’ on my Squidoo `AnomalyMan Listing’ webpage. And, a quick read of the title of this post gives you an idea about `my spin’ on some recent events/things.

Actually, if you are a fan of THS - you remember that last fall - during the peak of the teetering of the financial system - THS on three occasions took to calling a spade a spade. Never before did this blog get so many `general population’ type readers via Goggle users looking up the term `economic collapse’ - literally, thousands. And, while this post will skirt about the edges of the Economic Collapse issue - recent events have brought to focus just how manipulative the media has been in any number of ways (nothing new of course).

But, before I talk politics and the media’s political spin - since this is generally a non-political blog -  I want to share that I have NEVER ONCE voted for a democrat or republican for President since 1976 - voting each time for the Libertarian candidate as the least objectionable choice (confession - living near Atlanta I met, shook hands and talked for a minute privately with Bob Barr - months before he ran for President) - yes, correct, I really don’t like the Libertarians all that much anymore - especially with the Presidential contest they just ran. So, perhaps that amounts to a view of pure skepticism in many folks eyes. So be it.  Then, throw into that, the media’s simpleton approach to any issue - and you have my general view in a nutshell.

So; let me provide examples of `Howard Beale-ism’ that are seemingly screaming out to a totally deaf - but also confused at times - big time TV media.For those who don’t know who Howard Beale is/was ………… you are probably under 45, and, probably think you are a democrat (I normally call democrats - democraps. Don’t smirk republicans; I call them republinuts. How can anyone have respect for political partys represented by a Jackass and Bloated Elephant?) Indeed, please look his `name’ up on Wikipedia - but, knowing you, a democrap, you probably won’t - so - in abbreviated USA Today style, —-  Howard, a fictional newsreader, represented the `Fed-Up Citizen’ in a 1970’s movie - where in his most famous scene,  he opens a window and shouts out to the public “I’m Mad As Hell, And, I’m Not Going To Take It Anymore”. (And, then, others began the scream too.)

And, indeed, the mid 70’s were an infuriating period in America; - having most folks thinking, for the first time really, that `the government lies about things to promote an agenda’ (regardless of `party’). Additionally, our society had just scooted out of a war and had a press taking on a lying President (after his VP took bribes and resigned) followed by an Unelected President (Ford). So, the funny thing, is that `Howard’ was screaming in an era where the Press actually stood up and perhaps stood for something. Now, the press doesn’t even recognize Howard.

But, this is the 2000’s. Now, we have a greatly weakened Newspaper industry in shambles in what is becoming the worst downturn and financial crisis since the 1930’s. Indeed, in the old days of yesteryear, we `the citizens’ could at least hope that the muckrakers of the day would have dug up the coming AIG fiasco - or talked more of `real estate anomalies’ (or credit default swaps) - instead of pumping the bubble by having a blind eye to an impossible to sustain market condition. Or, perhaps challenge our lawmakers to at least put the Iraq war `on the budget’ instead of off-budget. Don’t you think?

Or, did they - do they -  think `they’ are no longer entitled to the truth by the government - and certainly the citizens aren’t entitled to it.

But, NO. We had and have the weakest, lamest, wimpiest version of muckrakers ever seen in the profession. (This includes the big Internet sites too.) What we have are TV news (give that story 15 seconds) and Newspaper weaklings  that bow to political correctness and have zero backbone or ideals. And, one that seems INCAPABLE of understanding,  or depicting, dissent in this country. And, obviously, our recent nationwide protests bring that to mind. (Protests you say?)

This bubbling up of the Howard Beale (HB) sentiment began brewing last year with the run for President by Ron Paul - and - also the run for President by Mike Huckabee who `stood alone’ for the Fair Tax. Both candidates and their `unique ideas’ were scoffed at and treated as if they had coodies. This despite the relative successes of both campaigns overall. But, by the time the candidate field was whittled down to one on each side - those folks/citizens who were identified with Paul or the Fair Tax - (the Howard Beale’s) - were largely marginalized.

Then, last fall, the crappola that Ron Paul had been talking about - the very weakness of the financial system - which the media ignored when he said the words ———— was suddenly coming true. The Federal Reserve and the Treasury -`they said’ - suddenly needed to `save’ the very system our politicians had built. If not, dear citizen,  Great Depression Two was promised as a possibility. I guess we all were expected to just be quiet and let the powerful `save us’. How very nice of them!

Instead, after trillions was given to the very big businesses that had caused the bubble and crash, we have instead ———- The Great Recession of the 2000’s. Indeed, I want you to look at this interactive link from Slate.Com — I’VE NEVER SEEN A LINK SAY IT ALL LIKE THIS ABOUT THE ECONOMY. http://slate.com/id/2216238/   This link visually depicts the FACTS about NOW — not rhetoric about `hope for the future’. (That said, if the dollar doesn’t implode - the trillions should buy some measure of slowing the decline.) Please see this link - then - send it to as many folks as you can - I’ve never asked my readers to do so before - this link is that important for understanding `where’ the country lies in this `recovery’.

Indeed, what  `hope’ can be found in `slowing the decline/crash’. Is this just delaying a Depression like scenario? Is not the visual shown by this map on the above link the most frightening you have ever seen?

Indeed, the media, concerning the economic situation is torn between promoting — things will never be the same (February’s positioning) — and - things can be the same again (March’s positioning). (While pushing the Tent city stories off the screen - or - the recent story on condo’s in Miami (video on CNBC) that once were $700,000 going for $130,000.) And, while wealth destruction is rampant and all around everyone - the media `rounds up the wagon train’ around `action’ from our `democrap’ lawmakers - quote - holding them accountable for `doing something’. (Isn’t this like closing the barn door………?)

So, what is `The Cost’ for allowing lawmakers who ruined a system to fix it? Trillions and trillions. And trillions. (Along with getting the government itself into the banking system and thereby - everyone’s life.) And, unbelievably, it might still - NOT even be `fixed’. —- But, we, the citizens are expected to be quiet (oh, by the way, eventually Ron Paul’s supporters ended up on Government lists of folks to `watch’).

As the Russians and Chinese - suggest a new - world currency. And, still, the people/sheeple are expected to be quiet.

And, with that as a backdrop — someone woke Howard Beale up again.

This time, his name was Rick Santelli - who used the idea of another `Tea Party’ being necessary to wake up the government and the politicians. Unless you were asleep for a of couple days, parts of his `rant’ - of his anger - were allowed to make the TV screen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEZB4taSEoA And, regardless of his words, it was his emotion - the real anger - authentic anger at the system - that was the news.But, somehow, our blind, weak media missed the significance of it. After all, the sheeple need to be quiet and stop their bah-bah(ing).

NO, our media has been involved in promoting the chance that our new President may actually figure a way out of the mess without pain to anyone. Now, I’ll grant you in a second that President Obama is impressive in his speech and thought process. And, if anyone can figure out a way out - it is probably him. That said, there may be no way out - or - the way out - would be better in some direction other than that promoted by the democraps.

But, that wouldn’t be PC.

But, there is no other way - not in a country with just `two’ views on things - democrap and republinut. Think about it this way - if 1/3 or so of citizens identify themselves as independents (read, hate each party) and if say 3% are really Libertarians - when was the last time you heard a Libertarian on TV or a viewpoint not suggested by a demo or repo – is it one out of every 33 times a politician is on TV? Of course not - to the big media & mainstream newspapers and such — one almost never hears the `ideas’ of the fringe. Or, those that disagree with the system. (To them, the talking head media, fringe ideas get absorbed by the two parties over time.)

So, when suddenly, on April 13th - when the media realized that common citizens would soon be seeing `TEA Protests’ often in their hometown or in front of the IRS - (or White House - or State Capital) - they had to `scramble’ to catch up on the story. (To someone, like me, reporting real news via the internet, I had the link to this April 6th on my Squidoo page.) You would have thought this was all happening spontaneously. (The media talking heads were like — what’s this Tea Tax party all about - we just gave the sheeple a tax cut last week?)

Suddenly, they, the big media,  had to put a `face’ onto these TEA Protesters. Conveniently, to the mainstream sheeple PC press, this meant - they - those protesters -  must be `fringe’ conservatives. Or, at least they told us that. They `wondered’ how many would really show-up? Or, at least they told us that. Even the power-brokers on `the right’ missed that this was Howard Beale in the streets — not `people from the right’.

So, thruout the country, in towns large and small - with crowds that were both LARGE and small - citizens gathered last week to say - “I’m mad as hell and I’m NOT ……” — But, the media didn’t hear that.

NO, the big media has an interest to minimize the sheeple anger - to marginalize it. No credibility is given to the fact that the Tea Party was nationwide, in towns of all sizes, by folks of all ages,  - or - that it was also a protest against current policies in general.

A Howard Beale feeling that is tired of being ignored by the PC press and media. Indeed, could it have been the ignoring of the HB (Howard Beale) movement - that lead to the `floating’ of the idea of state secession again? Is there any feeling strong enough to get the mainstream media’s attention? Is secession it? — And, yesterday - Ron Paul said this about `state’ secession - http://www.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2009/04/20/ron-paul-thoughts-on-secession/ - it’s a four minute video.

Some folks may remember that last fall a report - years old - by a USSR man - suggested that the USA may break apart into six areas or country’s. If you look at the first Slate link - and see that Texas is in a different situation than most of America - one can see how certain states may want a new union. States that were less involved in the Federal Fraud. Would the media even be willing to entertain such ideas? Not this media.

After all, this is a media that YESTERDAY again - ignored nationwide protests —- of the nations marijuana laws. Protests that have been going on at an organized level for decades. By, folks tired of being told that Micheal Phelps is a loser for toking when thousands die of alcohol overdoses yearly. Think I’m kidding? Check this out - http://www.coloradodaily.com/news/2009/apr/20/420-cu-colorado-boulder-marijuana-pot-smoke-out/ - and, I assure you that supporters of hemp and medical marijuana were NOT happy with the way President Obama brushed off the pot question at his recent internet town hall meeting. But, then again, when you have a media that ISN’T OUTRAGED that tens of thousands are in jail for pot while in other states Judges order the police to return 12 pounds of pot to another citizen based on doctors orders (don’t believe me - see this - http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/Dude-Wheres-My-Pot.html). And, not one state has that has had reform - was led by the politicians - most were led by citizen initiatives. Worthless politicians and media, again. Millions upon millions waiting decades for the politicians to do the right thing - or - for the media to point it out.

Finally, we have President Obama yesterday asking his cabinet members to save 100 MILLION budget dollars - while the government ran up a deficit of over 120 BILLION in one month alone. And, yet, the media can’t hear Howard Beale yelling - screaming - begging - for them to do their job. But, who has time for that when Miss USA gave a `controversial answer’ to the gay marriage question (they forgot that it is the same as Obama’s) and no one is interested why 70% of Somalians support the pirates. Could there be two sides? OMG. http://www.infowars.com/you-are-being-lied-to-about-pirates/ Or, cover the fact of an astronaut again saying the government is covering up about the alien presence on Earth - spinning it - without ever covering the `deceivers’ - satisfied with another `brush off statement’ by NASA. (You mean the media lets the government lie about pot, aliens, immigrants, big money and more — quiet sheeple.)

Indeed, the big media hopes they can `entertain’ you with `murder mysteries’ (like the craiglist case) and such nonsense; hoping to lull the sheeple — hoping that Howard Beale goes back into the film canister and doesn’t rear his ugly head - or voice - again.

Welcome once again to The Heavy Stuff (THS), the blog that often shines the spotlight into the twilight zone of reality - today’s topic - the Jan. 2008 Stephenville Tx Ufo Incidents - and THS’s perspective 90 days later - on what may become a watershed event. Or not.

It certainly was a watershed in one particular manner - that being the unprecedented rapid response of the mainstream media coverage of a Ufo event. Never before has the media been immediately present only days later - immediately interviewing witnesses only days later - immediately informing the public that this `wasn’t one of ours’ only days later. Indeed, for the subject matter of Ufo’s, the coverage was almost unprecedented also in regard to repeated follow up stories on all of the cable newsnetworks. As you know, most Ufo reporting has NO follow up report.

Indeed, we all saw repeated follow-up stories, one after another…….. UNTIL the gov’t `gave us and that pesky media the answer’ to what was seen about two weeks after the story broke nationwide.

As you know from my own UFO blog http://ufodisclosurecountdownclock.blogspot.com  - that `answer’ amounted to the `big lie’ that the government almost always puts forth when `pressed‘ for a Ufo `answer’ by the public or the media. AND, as always, the `big lie answer’ is almost a government statement to the media to LAY OFF the subject matter. And, once again, the media did just that —

Within 30 days after the governments answer, the Texas incidents were largely nothing more than internet fodder — despite the fact that other events were continuing to occur in the Texas skies, even in Stephenville, many days after the initial local reports about Jan. 8th.

Indeed, it was the initial reports that stoked interest in the whole incident. The reasons were clear why something was needed to be explained by someone — namely it was what was being said in the on-air interviews; seemingly reliable witnesses, multiple witnesses not in silhouette lighting, — and what they initially described — a huge craft perhaps a mile wide, hovering, flashing and morphing, then almost disappearing at a high rate of speed - those descriptions were gripping the nation.  Within the last 90 days.

Indeed, the only `doubting’ or disappointment voiced of the incident in the opening days was `where are the cellphone pics of this thing’.

And, while no one was publicly doubting those that observed the craft - one witness who went to the media indicated that he felt pressured, within days of going to the media, by someone seemingly in the government, - to be `quiet’ about what he saw - again, this is someone he felt was within the gov’t calling his home.

Then, in an extra for the conspiracy buffs, the main reporter on the case for the local newspaper was told to move on a little early from her position as a reporter — eliminating her coverage and follow up interviewing. And, all this was happening  - just after the gov’t `answer’ -(the `answer’ of course is that the witnesses confused the silent mile wide craft for a number of F-16’s) — was official suppression at work? Or paranoia?

Regardless, media coverage of the incident was sufficiently muzzled by the gov’t answer, that by the time that when the amazing video surfaced of a `separate’ Stephenville Ufo flap incident - mainstream media coverage was minimal. Incredibly. After all THEY, the media, had been waiting for a video.

BUT, they did show `pictures’ of the video. And, the `pictures’ - literally video frame stills - of the `UFO light-show display’ video served as Stephenville’s final mention by the media. It was as if they didn’t have the courage to run the video — just stills from the video.

And, for good reason. That video, seen only on the internet, which goes on for 9 minutes, (and is linked in my March 6th listing on my anomalies site on squidoo - www.squidoo.com/anomalyman- among others)  shows the craft morphing into some cryptic lazarshowlike `symbols’ in the sky - could shatter some folks world views.

Indeed, the media, by only doing the stills - provided a palatable context for folks that wouldn’t shatter their worldview ——– a lazar show picture. In the sky. (Don’t humans do lazar shows in the sky?) Something to look at, not to wonder about.

The JUMP from entertainment (lazar show) to COMMUNICATION from another species — was not quite ready for prime time - evidently - even though many would find it obvious. After all, this is NOT standard UFO protocol by any means. The newsreaders on the networks were basically allowed to have a questioning look on their collective faces as they showed the squiggly lights in the sky. (While whispering under their breath WTF.) ————Before going onward to the next coverage of Brittney Spears in public. (Just forget about those disturbing ufo images folks.)

Of course, NOT  showing the ufo lazar video means ——– the media blinked - or was forced to blink — about the ufo issue — about the Ufo Disclosure issue. And, no one even noticed.

(Interestingly, within 30 days of the denial by the gov’t - the internet was alive with the supposed `rushed’ UN UFO Disclosure meeting - coincidence? - And, what are we to make of NO media mention of the internet rumor of the UN disclosure meeting? Coincidence again?)

A thinking person can only think that there are limits to the `pace of the revealing of Ufo information’ by the mainstream media. Indeed, are we seeing yet another tease in the past two weeks concerning the Drones?

Is the media covering them now because of the rumored `back-engineering from alien knowledge’? Will that be the slippery slope way the media and the gov’t are going to let this all slip into common consciousness - that WE, human beings,  have UFO’s - and — for now — don’t worry about those pesky details too much.

THS wonders what the media overview of the Drones and Stephenville (and the UN meeting) will be by the end of 2008. What other ufo events, if any, will warrant `immediate’ media attention?

Or, are those days now relegated to the past - even the recent past - when the media would actually respond and cover the unknown. Will the legacy of Stephenville turn out to be the seriousness of the media coverage? A legacy that - now that we have the `governments Stephenville answer’ - will never happen again.  Or will it?

Hello to all readers of The Heavy Stuff (THS) - thanks for returning for another heavy installment of thought - downloadable right here. Today’s topic, of course, is the upcoming holiday this week - April Fools Day — and, just as we provided a link for Groundhogs Day on our other blog www.ufodisclosurecountdownclock.blogspot.com here’s a good link for you for this weeks unofficial `people’ holiday –>  http://www.thefoolsday.com/ . As you know, April First,  is the day to honor Tom Foolery — something which is right up the alley of Ufo `information’.

How, you ask, are Ufo’s associated with April Fools and tomfoolery? And, who, or what, would be doing this tomfoolery associated with Ufo’s? Do Ufo `fools’ deserve a day all to themselves? Perhaps, yes, unfortunately - when one looks at the evidence.

The sad/funny part of that is noone wants to be made the April fool. To be caught on the short end by an April Fools Joke. The `fools’ are always made to look foolish, gullible, or, at best,  innocent and simple in thought and attention. Simple Fools.

Indeed, perhaps just a few examples will provide the basis of some of this idea THS is posting today. As one knows, the tomfoolery perpetuated depends on the gullibility that those seriously interested in the Ufo subject matter - the desire to believe or simply to have an explanation for an actual observation of a Ufo (as 14% of Americans claim). Indeed, the tomfoolery that those with an interest in Ufo’s  have had to endure is now legendary, and literally growing yearly - and the picture it paints of Ufo information and discussion - relegates it to JOKE LEVEL. (The smirk factor.)

Perhaps those wanting to believe have never been made bigger fools of than the Alien Autopsy video. After all, what would substitute better for a White House front lawn landing than an alien body itself - or - at least the video of an alien body. Indeed, what fools `ufo consumers’ were - (as you know, to folks that sell TV shows, markets for the shows have demographic profiles - and are a consumer group with X dollars purchasing power) when the autopsy `proof’ came to the small screen in front of us.

And, the alien autopsy provided the proof. It was like the TV we all remember from the 1950’s - grainy, black and white footage, small details of the time-era planted into the film, the vague storyline of source material - the alien that looked like everyone EXPECTED an alien to look like. 

BUT, of course, it was all a JOKE - Playing the public for a fool level - I will grade a 10.

So, the only clear video of a dead alien to ever be widely distributed for `information’ — was a hoax for money –  and only`fools’ would be consumers of it. With the side effect of  teaching  those `fools’ to not believe the Ufo stuff, no matter how real it looks. The lesson, don’t be fools; even old videos might be fake. The bottom line,  don’t believe the media about Ufo’s (FOX brought this to America).

Well, the UFO consumer said, if we can’t believe the media - how about our government? They wouldn’t play the public for fools - would they? After all, they work for us, the citizens. (THS is having a hard time typing this with a straight face even celebrating Fools Day.) They give us the info we seek - that is why we have FOI, right? And, for sure, the government wasn’t playing the UFO information consuming public as fools with their explanation for the O’Hare Ufo Incident of 2006 (it didn’t happen) or the Stephenville Ufo incident of 2008, (TEN F-16 Jets) = Right? (Or the famous Swamp Gas explanation.)

But, in this case the JOKE is that THEY WERE SERIOUS  with these statements for Ufo Consumers. Therefore, when graded for Playing the public for a fool  - 10 - once again. The lesson - listen to your government - don’t ask questions you don’t want the answer to - don’t be a FOOL.

Well, the common man thought, if the media will play the Ufo community as a fool - and the Government will play the Ufo community as a fool — certainly, we can hope the `info’ from the people won’t play us for a fool, right? Folks won’t get INTO HOAXING now that the computer graphics are here and now - right? Hoaxing ufo consumers would never be pushed on the public, right?

And, then, came along the 2007 Haiti Ufo Video — for all to see on major networks news. Now we can believe that right? They check sources and don’t just put on as entertainment something that would change the literal worldview, right?

But, you as a Ufo info consumer were beginning to sense something. Could it be that clear visual ufo disclosure as seen in the Haiti video isn’t the case once again? Is this how the whole gig was going to be `revealed’? And, for a few days - the carrot was dangled for the foolhardy. 

But, as you know,  the Haiti `proof’ wasn’t real either - again - and only fools would believe that stuff - right? (Notice any pattern here?) The egg was once again on the face of the believer - again to look like a fool if they mentioned the video to anyone; or professed belief in it.

The lesson again - don’t believe modern tapes (this is different than tapes from the 1940’s which we all knew would not have fancy film special effects) - don’t believe your eyes - don’t be a fool.

Finally, later last year - came the Drones. The objects eventually associated with back engineered alien technology - via forums on the web. Lots of stories and witnesses - `writing’ on the wings of the `impossible’ Drones. Were we as Ufo consumers being set up again? Everyone wanted to be cautious. To be non-believers. To not be fools - even if it seemed too good to be true. Like the others. Like the others that made us look like fools willing to believe it all. (As with all the above stories about UFO tomfoolery - the Drones is an on-going story of investigation, with breaking news even this week.)

Then, in January, came the Stephenville Ufo Incident - and more importantly - THE SKY MESSAGES FROM THE SPACECRAFT - . Heirogliphics in the skies. Could this be THE CONTACT? Or were the aliens themselves playing us (or the government) off as the fool? Can we believe that after all the tomfoolery that the aliens are taking things into their own schedule? Are they wondering when the fools will wake up?

And, now, finally, — if we can’t believe the media, the government, the people or the aliens - how about the World?

And, so now we have the supposed meeting that took place at the UN in Feb. of 2008 — about the plan to reveal to the world the Ufo information. To get us all ready for the coming transition in just a few years, when, `they say’ - alien ships will sit in our skies for observation. To provide us the proof we are not alone -

AND, that the time has come……………..

To be Ufo Fools - Never Again.

The Heavy Stuff (THS) loves this time of year most for the `best of’ lists that appear in the media. It could be the best astronomy pictures, the best news-stories…. but THS’s favorite (of course) are the Lists involving the paranormal. THS’s especially enjoys the lists from great sites like www.about.com and www.cryptomundo.com (both found on great paranormal link sites like www.anomalist.com  and www.thedailygrail.com and THS’s own www.squidoo.com/anomalyman ). When all the amazing `out of normal consensus’ events are taken in their totality — no wonder our heads spin. And, while we have TWO days or so for the ultimate anomaly of the year — THS would like to present our own `nutshell’ listing.

UFO’s

1. FAA’s denial of the Nov.06 O’Hare Ufo Incident in Jan. 07— The uproar this created in the media was the most since the famed Phoenix Lights Incident in 1997. CNN even utilized the famous `silhouette’ type of lighting with disguised voices to get the information to `all of us’.

2. Costa Rica Cellphone UFO - THS has this link on our Squidoo site for Dec. 10th —- here’s the direct link — http://naturalplane.blogspot.com/2007/12/interesting-ufo-video-recorded-in-costa.html — THS’s position is that with the amazing graphics now possible with computers — it’s REAL events like these captured on `technology, but, less tamper-able technology’ (such as cellphones) are the new `credible’ type of evidence. In this amazing cellphone captures, one can clearly see the atypical saucer UFO.

3. The Haiti UFO clip. — Look at #2 to realise that `close up ufo videos’ are now to be relegated to `entertainment’ by the media. For fellow followers of this type material — the Haiti video caused a huge initial stir, made the TV media, and then seemed NOTHING but a PR hoax. The media was burned is THS’s take of the incident.

4. The Lake Erie UFO (s) — While shot with a video camera (with the typical ‘what’s that dude’ talk) to THS — this was very convincing of something going on involving objects in the sky. The video link is available on my other lens www.squidoo.com/anomalyman2006 . In summary, a bright object out over Lake Erie has another anomalous object come out of nowhere, approach it, and then receded.

5. Presidential candidates and politicians in UFO spotlight….. Somehow, the subject was deemed worthy of comment by more than one candidate; and two politicians - Kucinich and the Former Arizona Governor admitted to seeing UFO’s themselves and being awestruck. Late in the year, officials in Japan seemed to come close to `disclosing’ the whole UFO matter. Don’t hold your breath.

6. Roswell `deathbed’ confessions….. At least two old timers with first hand knowledge came forward in the past year — one in a letter opened only after his death — and the other an 85 year old codger. BOTH said there were saucers and dead alien bodies.

Also rans include; The `Mile Wide’ Europe UFO….. This was in the spring, spotted by a pilot (remember authority is important) – got lots of coverage before the Haiti hoax — part of the slow media expanding portrayal (indoctrination?) that some UFO’s are `massive’.

Other Anomalous Events and THS’s Positioning

In this area, THS would like to be more general about the anomalous 2007 events.

               BIGFOOT

Is it news that Bigfoot, once again, was unconfirmed for another year? Despite many sponsored searches? Despite rocks being thrown on top of cabins 200 miles from humanity? Despite many reports of the `creature’ near populated areas in Florida? (And unpopulated areas of course.) Despite a blurry video or two of what seem to be `apes’ in the woods?

Yes, evidently it is news — and some of the years best `stories’ are of Bigfoot and it’s footprints and `fleeting impressions’. While never commented on before in this blog — THS’s positioning on Bigfoot’s is that they are `temporary creature/events’. Only this could account for lack of ` a body’ after this length of time and interest. At least that is what `common sense’ says. LOL.

FLYING HUMANOIDS

Could Flying Humanoids be the next big thing in paranormal? THS knows that if you are not a HUGE fan of this type of material that these stories may have escaped you. They happened (supposedly). What in the world is to be made of this? Is this humans who have achieved some supernatural level like Don Juan in Carlos Castaneda’s books? Are these entities from beyond just enjoying our planet (and to flip us out)? Have they learned from Chris Angel? Are we indeed in some sort of computer that literally gives us random images from time to time? Are these archetypes?

Ghosts (orbs)

Maybe Ohio is a haunted place with all those Indian Spirits — but the Blue Ghost in Ohio this year was one of the best. More and more `orblike’ things were seen on camera; sometimes even going in and out of infants mouths. Some folks are beginning to claim they can call orbs for photographs– or put orbs into the sky (such as Prophet Yahweh). The meshing of orbs and `rods’ can’t be far away can it?

CONTRAILS

Legions of folks are beginning to speak about how the sky is different compared to just 15 years ago. They realize that the HUGE X’S and patterns they see are totally different than how the sky has looked most of their lifetimes. Others are beginning to do what amounts to `people research’ on the phenomena for the media. Is the biggest paranormal story right in front of us daily and worldwide?

AND FINALLY

Finally, there were other very cool paranormal reads. The dead father who `came thru’ a woman’s young son to speak to her. The friend `found’ after a vivid dream. The disappearing Bees. Elephants that can tell the good people from bad people. Fish in tanks as smart as 4 year olds. Chimps better at remembering than college students. And finally, The Drones of 2007.

Can 2008 have more high strangeness than this?

The Heavy Stuff (THS) isn’t really into astrology at all - that said - something must be in alignment for the events of the past few days on the media circus we call our `press’ - specifically TV. First, of course, was the out of the blue question to Dennis Kucinich about `his sighting’ of a UFO. Suddenly 14% of the few viewers bothering to watch the depressingly dull debate - turned their heads and looked at the screen.

You see; in just the last few weeks - the media has released results on a national poll about `the unexplained’ (what percent believe in ghosts, ufo’s, etc) and it indicated 14% of the sample had seen a UFO. Anyways, they turned to the screen and Kucinich indicated his moving experience. Other than some chuckling, the room was overwhelmingly silent - eerily similar to the descriptions of UFO’s themselves.

But, soon enough, the topic was gracefully moved away from with just a few Bushlike smirks in the room. (Amazingly, the one year anniversary of the O’Hare Ufo Incident didn’t get asked about of the candidates. Too heavy THS guesses.)  Then, came friday nite - and Larry King’s occasional need during rating sweeps to dip into the `stories begging to be done’. Yep, you guessed it - another King ratings sweep UFO special — this time featuring politicians KNOWN for lying about UFO’s — OF course THS speaks of the former governor of Arizona (lying politicians do NOT get their name in print in THS) — yes the one that trotted out an assistant dressed as an alien at a news-conference to calm his citizens. OHHHHHHHH  PLLLLLEaaaaseeeee. What manure. To boot, this lying politician saw the Phoenix Light UFO himself when it occurred. Of course, he wasn’t asked if that is the canned response that our leaders are demanded to give while in power.

NOW we find him back on TV begging to be forgiven for his deception and asking the Government to come clean about what they know. YEs, the liar asking for the government to come clean. Yes, this happened in the last few days if you were asleep - but, there is even more. Just when you thought the Kucinich moment was the `UFO’ trial balloon that had crashed - and to be brought up no more - suddenly - Chris Wallace on Sunday on Fox News asks another one of the Dem’s running for president - Richardson  - about UFO’s.  Richardson’s first response was a classic politician answer `I don’t believe in Ufo’s’ (somehow this means you must believe in them for them to be real I assume) - but, then he went on also for the gov’t to essentially come clean about Roswell (was saying out of the other side of his mouth that as Gov. he promotes Roswell for the fun of it). THS assumes that all candidates will be asked - if not - why not.

But, even that wasn’t it — then — Republican presidential candidate McCain was asked by Wallace about UFO’s — by this time the smirk factor was rising steadily. This from a Chris Wallace that has never asked Romney if he wears the special underwear used by Mormons. OR, has never asked all the Christian candidates if they believe in the virgin birth? Yet, someone who has a REAL unexplained event occur to them — (fill in this area with your favorite media rant).

Finally, the weekend tops off with the potential of real DNA evidence for Bigfoot on the History channel.

I love when the media chases the ratings during sweeps - how about you?

The last time The Heavy Stuff wrote about Ufo’s was at the 200 day anniversary of the incident at O’Hare Airport on Nov. 7th of 2006 — The Heavy Stuff called it `O’Hare, 200 days and Fading’. And now, one day from the year anniversary of the `non-event’ - it seems a fitting time for a review of the `affair’.

I say the words `non-event’ for a reason - because basically, that was the conclusion of the FAA about the incident. According to the FAA’s denial one could say that a `non-circular, non-gray, non-solid object with non-space was seen in a non-location above a gate of the airport - hovering below the solid cloudbank - and - that the non-object occupied real reality until it shot up and the non-object poked a hole in the clouds’.  You see, the FAA has denied that an object was seen or that an object poked a hole in the clouds - the event - simply - didn’t occur.

OR, you could believe the witnesses.  Here’ a link with a video to one of the NOW FAMOUS situations that arose when the FAA denied the existence of the event at all — http://www.ufoevidence.org/cases/case958.htm – yes, this is ONE of the occasions within THIS YEAR that CNN interviewed these witnesses (workers at the airport) IN SILOUETTE. Darken, without showing their faces.

The Heavy Stuff asks you —- in this world of supposed extreme terror and unbalance on nearly every level — have you seen anyone ELSE interviewed in silhouette this year? Even once? The answer is NO. ONLY this raises to the level of witness protection.

The lesson is this - folks who blow the cover of the government on UFO’s can expect the need for witness protection. And, in this case why not. An object hovered in sight, in restricted airspace, over one of the busiest airports in the country. The obvious answer being one of two very unpleasant choices for the media to speculate about - either an advanced non human race or object was HERE - or - a group of humans here on Earth has access to technology our government doesn’t admit to having.

NO wonder that the media felt the witnesses needed protection - either of the outcomes outlined above — which, if enunciated by the media in detail - would change the world perspective about `who’s in control’. But, alas, we all didn’t have to worry at all. Instead, The O’Hare Ufo Incident will go down as the new textbook way the government will deal with these `obvious’ incidents. The answer; deny the event happened. End of story.

One can hope that perhaps tomorrow, on the anniversary, that the rumored video of the event will surface and shut up the naysayers. But, The Heavy Stuff doubts it. More likely there will be NO coverage by the media, even CNN (after all, Britney may be flashing her panties again and that is indeed news to be covered). More likely, the paranormal talk shows and websites will be alone in their `coverage’.

Finally, earlier this year THS (The Heavy Stuff) speculated that it would take another `obvious’ UFO event before the media ventured into the arena again. Indeed, THS, speculates that ONLY a LIVE Ufo event will force a change in the government nay-say position. THS has speculated that a UFO hovering over a Nascar event or anywhere long enough to be on live national news is the only chance for an honest answer from the government about UFOs’s.

The question - would the news-producer who decided to put the coverage on live be provided witness protection?
 

Yesterday marked the 200 day interval since the appearance of the UFO directly over Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. And, while regular readers are fully aware of the incident - my bet is that less than 50% of the population recall any details regardless of the original coverage. Well, I get ahead of myself on that — the media provided NO original coverage. The event, like many, originated with a report on a UFO posting site. From there some details emerged that an unknown craft had appeared below a uniform cloudbank at less than 2000 feet - and directly above one of the gates at the airport. It was observed by airline employees and others coming to the airport (reports surfaced of many in the parking lots watching this too). The craft was visible for a number of minutes before `shooting up - and poking a hole in the uniform cloudbank’. Yes, pictures did emerge and there is at least one report of someone using a video camera from the parking lots.

Nevertheless, within days or several weeks, the incident was largely forgotten by everyone but the avid followers of UFO reports. Indeed, the whole incident may have vanished, like the UFO, if the FAA didn’t release a report in early January denying the event even occurred. That denial, became the real start of the `huge story’.

It actually felt like heady times for UFO’s about 150 days ago - some were calling UFO’s the 800 lb gorilla in the room. Shadowed figures were on Anderson Cooper’s 360 show talking of the sighting. Websites broke out about the midwest black triangle UFO invasion in March. Lake Erie had an amazing sighting and video. The Prime Ministers house in India had a UFO float over it in the spring. Was this some sort of final protocol of the aliens before a full revealing of themselves to humans?

After all, the O’Hare incident IS different — violation of controlled airspace - in daylight — very close to ground — impossible craft movement. And, not just ANY airport (this could have been the Boise airport remember) one of our nations busiest and least likely to have `the arrival’ ignored by the media. As I wrote in this very blog — the Chicago incident represents either the opening protocol of contact with Earth or represents blackmail. It is a security issue that demands a serious inquiry. BUT. (A `big’ but.)

Funny how time — actually the `space’ since then — changes things. Really changes things. Because, as we all know, sightings continue — the media just doesn’t cover them. After all, no government agency is denying them — there is no story now. No serious media coverage means no need for denial means no story. Same old same old. And, all this fading in just the past 100 days.

Will the one year anniversary in November get any media follow-up? Don’t hold your breath.

Tomorrow marks the three month anniversary of the now becoming famous (perhaps) O’Hare Ufo Incident of Nov. 7th, 2006. Now seems to be a good time for a rational full review of the entire affair thru the eyes of a common citizen with an interest in the fortean anomalies of the world.

Being the editor for an online lens/website on Squidoo.com that covers anomalies, the paranormal and mind perceptions - and, because I monitor a large number of edgey sites - I probably was aware of the incident before the masses and posted a link to the description on my site in 2006 (my site is www.squidoo.com/anomalyman ) - this was before the `weather explanation’ of the incident by the FAA in early January.

Currently, I have a number of links to similar stories. It’s hard to believe that the `denial story’ was ONLY last month, and frankly, it’s surprising to me that the denial was the true beginning of the `story’. Usually, the media could care less about Ufo’s.

But, perhaps,  the `weather explanation’ was just a little too much BS and frankly smelled too much like - the `swamp gas’ explanation the government trotted out in the 1960’s to explain another Ufo incident.

Or, perhaps, `the peoples’ frustration at `being lied to again’ just boiled over a little from the FAA’s statement and outright denial that the event even happened. Or perhaps, some in the media KNEW that many many folks had `seen’ this Ufo event - and that some had already privately come forward with some of the video and picture evidence now surfacing on the internet. Perhaps in the period from Nov. 7th - Early January this all was bubbling below the surface —- and then, got `blown open’ by the FAA’s denial of the event even occurring.

It was at this time - early January - that most of the public first became aware of the O’Hare Incident. Amazingly, only a month ago (not to say that some hadn’t read the initial account and had already forgotten it).

Incredibly, almost before the FAA’s words had a chance to bounce off the back of the room - there were pilots sitting in `darkened silhouette’ on cable news shows - with `voice masking’ — telling a different `version of the truth’. No, these were not people turning in the mob.

And, the version they told - has riveted many citizens of the country.

This version told of a metallic disk, hovering, in sight, below a low cloud bank of around 2,000 feet. Then, after being observed literally above the airport for long enough to try to get radar confirmation, the object took off straight up and literally `poked a hole in the clouds’. The story still being stuck to officially is that nothing was on the radarscreen according to the controllers. And, to the best of my knowledge, no controllers have appeared in darkened silhouette with masked voices saying differently.

So, the common man is left with this - the FAA version and the peoples version. Again, to recap the FAA version is that NO object was observed visually, NO object was observed on radar, and that the `hole’ in the stable cloud bank that was observed momentarily was a `weather event’.

The `people’s version’ has an object seen by many witnesses - at different locations across the airport - of the same general description, doing the same things observed by everyone.

I guess you know who I think has more credibility by now.

But, what is more concerning, or what should be concerning to the media — is not being focused on as an issue at all (or hardly at all). And that, is the issue of `security’ - because - as these `intrustion events’ become `more obvious’ —- this issue will become focused on `WHO is doing this’ as the real issue — not, the issue of `WHAT is this’.

Security is the issue because, if real, we now obviously have `something’ that can violate restricted airspace - at will. During broad daylight. Using a stealth technology to foil our radar - and, then, the `object technology’ we are observing does a maneuver that `our current technology’ doesn’t have; that being, `shooting straight up’. If THOSE CHARACTERISTICS are not a security issue - what is?

And, I suspect that it was indeed the security issue/angle that led to the FAA’s denial that the event even occurred.

I mean, a UFO hovering over the nations second busiest airport in broad daylight - could landing on the White House lawn be much better or more dramatic?

But, all that leaves the common man back at square one on the OFU - on the O-bject - that was F-lying - and which is U-nidentified. Where indeed does it leave the media too? What could an object like that BE - and who would be trotted out to explain it - a UFOlogist?

IF it indeed moved `in an instant’ up thru the clouds - are we to believe that the craft is piloted? Could any biological entity survive the thrust?

Does that mean we are being `monitored’ by some vehicle that has no biological pilot - but is perhaps being operated remotely or by an on-board `artificial’ intelligence? Could it be actually true that interstellar aliens are visiting us and have come across the cosmos to visit O’Hare?

Or, could those `aliens’ be already here and have been here for a long time? Some say these beings have bases underwater or in near earth orbit. Certainly, just scratching this surface of questions is too much for a 5 minute feature on cable.

So, with that many questions, and angles, I’m afraid that the media is about ready to `play’ this in a different way than Anderson Cooper sitting with observers of the craft in silhouette again. Already, the `coverage’ of `other’ Ufo events has been increased - with all the other reports being less impressive.

Already, it is being called a `flap’ — you know — code word for those times in history when `people see things’. Never-mind that reliable reports happen frequently and that the media ignores them. And this, like all `flaps’ - will be allowed to `run-off’ — without the serious, real questions like I’ve posed above.

One thing is for sure; the ability to deny that something is in our skies is becoming less believable. And, whatever is `showing itself’ is becoming more bold.

Ten years ago, it was the Phoenix Lights - an obvious event - at night; now, ten years after (great name for a rock band) it’s in broad daylight and over restricted airspace.

But, ducking one’s head in the sand has always been the media’s way — but, then again, we do have important, pressing issues such as to whether Obama is `clean’ or `articulate’.
